So I just got off with Samsung support and it seems they cannot also resolve this issue. Tapping and holding a widget will no longer show the remove option or the settings for that widget just like it used to. It just gives you a description of what the widget is and that's it nothing else. Anyone getting the same issue or is it just some setting I am not aware about? I did check if I accidentally turned the home screen lock option, but no. It wasn't locked. I find this issue pretty strange.
looks like same issue but different circumstances glad this helped. Mine was the latest update they sent out to "one UI Home" app. I did contact the developer and informed about the issue and removed auto update for apps to not force the faulty update. But now I think Samsung fixed that.
