My phone just restarted and took me a password login I have never seen before. My 4-digit password is not working and only left 2 more try. Please help.

I do not want to go factory reset and lose all my data and this came out from no where

That may be triggered if you have the 'Auto factory reset' function enabled. Technically this helps safeguard your data in the event someone tries to unlock your phone.

I'd have thought the password is what you originally set the lock screen password as. There is an option for PIN, as well as password.

Unfortunately noone here will be able to guess your password.

Do you have access to your samsung account? Can you try going to find my mobile samsung, then see if you can remotely unlock it?Screenshot_20220514-235720_Settings_34065_1652536640.jpg

thanks for the response. My original PIN and password didn't work. Never seen this screen before where it is asking like  after restart password" . Strange message too with 4 characters  with one letter. Tried my standard password and PIN and none of them working.
Unfortunately i didn't register my mobile with Samsung

I originally did think it was a PUK code, but that is 8 digit pin.

Are you sure you only restarted recently, and this happened?

There is also something called a PUK code, read this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_unblocking_key
and then Google a bit more to make yourself familiar with it.
