Can you bring back labs feature in one ui 6 please to give us full screen contact call I'd on incoming call screen. Actually bring back all those lab features on one ui 6 why even take them away it's really annoying. People have loved full screen call I'd for years it's been in custom roms made for Samsung why'd they remove it? I'm testing beta 6 in Australia using files posted on xda because Samsung is too sad to let Australia and many other countries be part of it.
I second your request although I am probably Millionthing your request plus removal or ability to modify MANY (85+%) of the other disastrous ruinous changes
It's like they either don't care or have forgotten android users buy android because we tinker and like customisation and and most of us are at least mild power users compared to any Apple user lol. They have absolutely locked us out with their ruinous changes, I like your wording lol. Starting to think they just like to tease features that have been available on rooted devices by talented developers on places like xda for years, so they give us a taste of it then take it away again. To add insult to injury we are going back to rubbish exynos chips for anything that isn't the ultra next flagships. They are so out of touch my friend. Hope they have a massive flop of sales for flagships this coming year, I say all because if the ultra smashes it and it will be a decent phone especially with the new snapdragon and AI but it can't succeed or they will keep this nonsense going. I still haven't upgraded my s22 past the firmware where the fake call and labs were available. I've already extracted the incallui phone apk from my old phone to analyse the strings and intents that have been taken and removed labs and possibly going to get some help decompiling the apk back to basics and then try add all libraries and dependencies that is required for the app to run and in doing so my aim would be to make a standalone at that can be installed like Google Dialer only look and feel the same as the Samsung stock door but bring those features back it would have to be stand alone without root as the signatures when compiling the app won't match and can't be installed as a system app either but with the right permissions it could still have enough access to the contact photos although I think call recording would probably not working the the permissions wouldn't be elevated enough sorry to go on a super technical rant I'm not in any way in expert but I love tinkering and I'm a quick learner and perhaps I can find someone who does know more than me who's also annoyed with the situation who may help me figure out how it might be possible if at all on the XDA forums if not I can root my device anyway I just don't want to I like the security of having a locked bootloader the warranty side of it is irrelevant and so are the Samsung apps that don't work after root I don't use any of them anyway and due to the Consumer Laws in my country Samsung cannot refuse warranty even with root and the tell tail knox 01 flag tripped lol in fact if I do upgrade this year and trade my old phone in I'm rooting it before I do on principal as a protest so samsung ignoring me and others and also for their rubbish exynos chipset return to flagship devices when they can't compete with snapdragon. They shouldn't have wasted money on R&D It will never be as good. They could always put it in their mid tier phones or lower spec versions but they shouldn't put it in there flagship devices that makes me Furious.
