I am using Galaxy S9 and just recently got an update to Android 10. The update was much appreciated and my device now looks and feels new... but there is another annoying thing that I found.

Problem:
If I use Samsung Keyboard as shown in (1), I couldn't get Predictive Text or suggestion words even if it's turned on (2).

However, I can get that predictive or suggestion word thingy using Samsung Keyboard Neural Beta (4) or whatever you call that(3).

Now the real problem. That is fine as I can use Samsung Keyboard Neural to replace my current keyboard, but.... it doesn't have support for some input language (5) that I need, Chinese to be specific... I can only find that option in Samsung Keyboard.

So this is the thing that I've discovered while typing these few days (it's hard to ignore as it is one of the feature I use the most without me realising it).

And I'm thinking if last time got no problem, why do we have to suffer now after an update which was supposed to be an upgrade rather than downgrade?

I hope Samsung Team will do something about it... or worst case scenario I might consider switching to use other keyboards. It's a worst case scenario because I've tried some other keyboards in the past, but Samsung Keyboard is the one I preferred the most of all and I really do loved it (before this problem).

Or maybe it's a Setting problem then I hope that Samsung or the community can assist me to make this right again.
P/s - I already turned Predictive Text on.

I was having the same issue but mine was more severe as it was not showing any word suggestions, no auto correct, no auto punctuation. I was having to type everything out myself. Very annoying.

But I've managed to figure it out. You simply need to reset/restore the app and the way to do this is to go to the app settings and clear all data.

So go to Settings>General management>Language and input>On-screen keyboard>Samsung keyboard. Click About Samsung keyboard. Now click the i icon in the top right hand corner. Click Storage, at the bottom of the screen you will see 2 options > Clear Data and Clear Cache. You want to click on clear data. Once this is done, your app is now reset/restored. It will now work as normal.

I hope this works for you.
