Hi,

I have an intermittent issue with my S22 Ultra.

I lose network connectivity, the 5g and network strength symbol disappears. I can't get on the internet and if I try making a call I get the error "Not registered on network".

I tried turning airplane mode on/off, resetting network settings and factory resetting my phone.

If I restart my phone it temporarily fixes it but the problem comes back.

Any help appreciated.

Hi @Ryan1983, that's strange.

Have you tried the following:

  • Restart your device
  • Turn Wi-Fi off/on
  • Turn the router off for 10 seconds
  • Forget the Wi-Fi network and then re-sign into the Wi-Fi network
  • Verify with another Wi-Fi network
  • Switch from 5 GHz to 2.4 GHz or vice versa (dependent on router specifications)
  • Turn off power saving mode
  • Run your phone to Safe Mode and observe [hold power>restart>hold volume down until lock screen].
  • Reset network settings [Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings > RESET NETWORK SETTINGS]. Please note this will forget all previous Wi-Fi connections and Bluetooth pairings.

If this does not resolve your issue, I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated by our research and development team. Error reports assist with identifying any deviations in your device performance. Once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further steps.

To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

The problem isn't with WiFi, and I've factory reset my phone.

I've just got a new sim card, hopefully it fixes the issue, otherwise I'll trade in this phone.

I have the exact same problem left my previous telephone provider and changed to telstra and nothing has changed still can't make calls or use internet constantly dropping out. Was your issue resolved ? Just got my ozone back for a second time from the repair centre with a piece of paper saying phone is fine and not repaired and in working order 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I've had this happen with my S22 ultra and with my note 20 with telstra and optus always had to restart to get 5G again doesn't affect the WiFi connection.
It just doesn't seem to search for a network connection 😕 and it's a bit hard to do a error report without a connection and yes I did a report when connected to the WiFi.
Honestly it's just easier to restart

Hi @SamsungLaura,
I am looking for support with my S22 untra. "Not registered on network" which happens when the "wifi calling" is turned off. I tried resetting the network, on/off wifi, ✈️ mode etc. Is there any specific process to mitigate this error?
