How do I know if my phone has been rooted? I bought my phone 2nd hand.

If you still have your Samsung Pass/Health/Secure Folder and other Knox apps working then your phone probably hasn't been rooted.

Rooting trips Knox's e-fuse and there's no turning back.

Also do note that even if you have your phone status reporting Official it doesn't guarantee that your phone's Knox has been tripped or not. The only way to check it is by checking it in your phone's download mode. Another way is just by testing if Samsung Pass is working, just like what I have said above.

Anybody could just flash the original firmware after rooting and have the device's status report using official firmware, but not Knox.

So yeah. The only way to check if your phone "has been rooted" or not is by checking if the device's Knox is tripped.

0x1 = tripped
0x0 = not tripped
