Hi everyone, I just wanted to add another case of the numerous screen issues found on the S20 serie...

I have a beloved S20 Ultra in mint condition, not a single scratch, never dropped. Things were going well until I woke up yesterday with the screen green/pink/white. Unable to see anything, therefore unusable.

I googled this problem and I found out that it has been a common and well known issue worldwide. To the point that Samsung agreed in certain countries to replace the screen for free, despite phones being out of warranties (also confirmed by some people who had it replaced for free).

I litteraly started to use the Galaxy series since the #1 and got 7 different models until the S20 Ultra. I'm seriously shocked that a flagship phone, even if not from the latest generation, can produce a faulty screen like this withotu having been damaged.

It seems that it happened only few days after the phone updated to the last Android version. This has been confirmed that the issue is most likely due to a faulty design, which makes the screen flex cable damaged by heat, and rendering image issues like I have, despite the screen itself being in perfect condition. It requires a flex bonding repair but needs very specific equipment.

I know that my phone being out of warranty will result in being charged if I request a repair, so I'm not very hopeful... Nevertheless, I just wanted to tell everyone before bying a Samsung phone, to check reoccuring issues on certain series, because paying the full price for a flagship phone, to have it dead 2 years later after taking care of it very will... is utterly frustrating.

Please Samsung, improve your quality control, this is super disappointing for a brand I've been a fan of since many years. Except with a positive response from Samsung trying to help with my problem and fixing the screen, I'll definitely look for a replacement from another brand because that is not acceptable.

I'd also be happy to hear if some of you faced a similar problem on the S20 serie.

Cheers
