S21 Ultra Green Line on Screen after only 2.5 years of regular use.

I never thought it would happen to my unit since I'm quite careful with it. 

Samsung's dreaded green line issue finally gets me after only 2.5 years of regular usage. This is my first time to experience this with any Samsung phone. I started with a Samsung Note2 many years ago after switching from an iPhone 4S. Gone through a Note 2, Note 3, S7, A70, S10 5G before this S21 Ultra. None of them had screen issues. 

What guarantee/motion has Samsung made to address the green line issue which seems to be prevalent from the S20 to S22 generations? Are there S23 units with green line issues already? Will the new flat screened S24 lineup be more durable? 

Seriously thinking wether it's time to go try another brand.

I'm also facing this green line issue. Whether this issue be sorted. I have done software update and basic troubleshootings, but no positive outcome yet.

In India, Samsung is still replacing out of Warranty S21 series screens for free.

Samsung Philippines kaya? 🤞🏼

Update: I had my S21 ULTRA repaired under the Samsung Eco Conscious Repair program after my DTI hearings with Samsung.

I can not share the details of the outcome of the mediation, but I can say that the final result was worth it for me. Cost me just under 10k for the repairs.

Your milage might vary, but I'm happy with my newly repaired S21 ULTRA. Will keep it on standard refresh rate, HD screen resolution, and battery preservation mode unless I need it to do something intense once in a while. Hopefully this keeps the heat down and extends the life of this new screen.

It will be the back up to my S24 ULTRA which I hope lasts longer with it's big vapor chamber and fast screen.

To those who haven't complained to DTI yet about their green lines, please do so. It may change the policies of Samsung moving forward. 20241125_130021_1000016057_1732510824.jpg

My Samsung S21 Ultra has the same issue after the Software Upgrade. Went to Customer Service and they have created a jobsheet. Was following up with the support team, they have rejected this saying the free screen replacement is only for phones below 3 years and hence I need to pay 26K - customer has to bear the cost for a problem created by Samsung (with the software update)!!!!
