S21 Ultra (One UI 6 Android 14)

Till date 9th Jan 2024 is it really safe to update to One UI 6 Android 14?

Issues seen on this community for this model after updating :

1) Cannot power on (Green or black screen)

2) Green line appear (* S21 Ultra alot or ?)

3) Some apps having issue.

Able to advise is it really safe even till date?

Hi, actually to be honest ah.. eventually, most S20 and S21 series will suffer from green/pink line issues, regardless of how well u take good care of it. Likely, the software could trigger the hardware to malfunction, which means the LCD for S20 and S21 series are not very reliable, in my opinion.

As for point 1, very subjective and not everyone will experience this issue. For point 3, will need fixes by respective app developers to cater to One UI 6.0, so technically not Samsung's fault. Once Samsung releases the One UI 6.0 updates and if there are third party app related bugs, the individual app developers will need to fix them.

Cause I'm quite skeptical to update my S21 Ultra with such high risk of problematic issues... worst case is cannot power on. I'm seriously pinning my hopes on the stable updates to fix the issues real soon. Seems like alot have did the update and S21 Ultra or other models just instant ko.. such a disappointment.

In that case, probably wait for One UI 6.1 update.. as what I saw from leaks and rumours is that One UI 6.1 will be more stable..

My friend updated S21 ultra on 6th Jan 2024 and the purple line appeared in 48hrs.

@Raj-BRK wah like I'm more skeptical to update liao.. my last time S7 Edge was with the green line issue I don't wanna get it on my S21 Ultra now. Seriously samsung ah why like that sia ... then maybe wait for One UI 6.1 update but whether green line still appears really mystery 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

I updated last month, but I didn't see any issue so far.

@SrinivasChilaka wah like really lucky. Some models or what after updating within like 24 or 48hrs the famous green line appear. Cannot power on still abit rare case although it exist.
