I'm at Singapore, the phone upgraded OS to v6.0 on 16 Apr 2024. One deep green vertical line appeared after that. The guy in SG service center asked me to pay for $303 screen replacement fee by myself today. It's absurd and so disappointing. How Samsung could hurt customer's rights and loyalty like this? ...

I am too also facing this issue on my s21+ and my mum's s22 ultra. Same update july 1st 2024 patch. Both phone's OOW already. Let me know if anyone has an update from consumer association if they chose that route. Their phone minus this issue is actually a very good phone but idk why I feel it only happens on exynos processors. Anyone using snapdragon here that it happened too?

Is anyone planning to go to samsung, actually if all of us go together we can make a big impact on this issue and change the outcome for good and for the future. I noticed a lot of people in india did that. They went in groups of 5 or 6 all with same issue and then samsung finally had to make it official. At least this is what I have picked up from forums.

Any updates about what went down with Samsung and CASE? My s21+ magically had green line just an hour ago... and it's like way past the whole hoohaa period so samsung told me repairs cost $200-$300.   Zzzzzz

The Samsung Management have called me because of several post I made and a Samsung representative reaching out to me for the details on the samsung discussion forums and reddit. They asked me more information on my phone, condition, place of purchase etc. The management team told me to WhatsApp them my phone's about page and the faint pink line that appeared after update. More people have reached out to me on S21 and S20 with the same issue and some told me that S20 actually had a hush hush program in singapore where they needed to pay $54 technician fees get the screen replaced as its a known issue. A lot of them are planning on their own to meet up and go to various stores in batch together as most of them faced it after July's update. Some feedback to me that samsung tried to offer them vouchers to buy a new phone lol.

For reference, this is the post link for mine on the discussion page and you can google the same for reddit and further discuss there.

Update:
Samsung offered me a fix for an LCD replacement that'll have a 30 day warranty only on the LCD with a cost charge of the technician fee of $54.50. They mentioned that if the technician had found any other defects, those charges would be separate. My phone is in Pristine condition so it's okay. I took up the offer as of now.

Hi, can you share this message of Samsung's offer? I contacted their service centre and they didn't offer me this. This message sent to you will be very helpful. Thank you
