Anyone facing this issue and managed to get samsung to fix it without paying even after warranty has ended?

Hi, probably u can try to call up Samsung hotline and see if they can advise u further.

The customer service chat told me must pay already. Maybe I should go down the service center and ask again

Ah okay.. in that case, let them inspect and assess if it's indeed a defect.

Cost is 400 ish for replacement for s21 ultra. pink line across screen. so sudden it appears.

Seems like very common for samsung. Now I super worried when will my 4x s23 ultra have lines appearing after software updates.

I had the same problem for my S22+ in Feb24. Went to the customer service center to fix it. Screen replacement js free, but have to pay labour cost $50 + gst

After didn't turn on the s22+ for more than 3months. Today I turned it on and did a software update. Before it was only 1 pink line and guess what? After the update, instead of 1 pink line! Now comes another green line! Wow hands of to you samsung!
