I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing an issue with the front camera taking a long time to focus?

When using the forward facing camera, the picture is all blurry (unfocused) and the phone vibrates for an extended period of time while trying to focus (can be 20 seconds+). The vibration here is constant until it manages to eventually focus, then the vibration stops. It is worse when using an app such as snapchat or facetime via Facebook messenger (this is probably the worst, where the other person on the call can hear the vibration and getting a blurry video from me for 10minutes+). I do have this issue on the regular front camera (ie not via an app) but tends to focus faster than when using an app such as snapchat.

The lens is clean and I have no screen protector on.

Does your phone require a software up date. If so that may fix the problem

@skanoz best bet is to send an error report via the Samsung Members App.

Samsung Members app > Get help > Error reports > Application > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

In the meantime, you could try a factory reset, or Tap and hold the Camera app icon, the tap on the (i) in the top right.
Scroll down and tap on Storage, then tap on Clear Cache.
After getting out of there, force close the app and try again.

You can also try booting into safe mode, this disables all 3rd party apps and will allow you to check the camera without possibly being affected by outside influence.

Press and hold the Side key, press and hold the Power Off icon until it turns green and says Safe Mode.

Adding on to @Dolgogi's comment, please send through an error report and attach a screen recording of your camera trying to focus if possible.
