Galaxy SI delayed updating my phone because i saw what happened to others after the update, but after a while the notification kept popping up so i decided to update it to get rid of the pesky notification. But lo and behold after updating, green line appeared. everything was fine before and i was literally staring at my phone as it was my lunch break and i saw the line appear right in front of my face so it has to be the update.
Asked Samsung for a solution and they told me at least 260++SGD to get it repaired. What the hell??
I can't afford it as I'm still a student and I was planning to use this phone for at least a few more years..
Anyone has any other solutions to get rid of the line?

I don't have time to waste at your service center and why should we waste our time with the mistake of the great Samsung.

Galaxy SI think the software update caused the phone to heat up a lot, causing certain components in the screen to malfunction. A flaw of Samsung's OLED displays on their high end phones which they refuse to acknowledge.
I'm just waiting for their next screen replacement program...
