I share the frustration with the under screen fingerprint scanner - it rarely works first time, often not at all, and I've tried all the remedies to get it to be more reliable.

But one suggestion from Samsung is ridiculous - moisturise your hands first! Like I'm supposed to carry around moisturizer all day so that when I want to use my phone I dab a bit on, rub it in, then unlock my phone - is that supposed to be a serious suggestion???

I hope Samsung ditch this useless technology and go back the the reliable rear mounted capacitive scanners. I don't replace my phones very often (about every 4-5 years), but one thing I'm certain of, if in a few years time they're still using this tech I won't be buying it. In fact, I've even considered going the Apple route which in itself is an indication of how unhappy with it I am.

One of my former workplaces had a finger print scanner for clocking on, much like myS23. I could never clock on using the finger print scanner unless my finger was damp, it took several presses to work, it bugged me no end. I'm really happy with my S23,had it a few months, but I use a pin. When I was told about the scanner my reaction was no way. Just use your pin number, I reckon it's easier.
