Anyone has faced the same issue when using a 45W charger and your S23 Ultra only shows "Super Fast Charging" instead of "Super Fast Charging 2.0"?

In addition, the "Super Fast Charging" option under our Battery Settings is not present at all.

I have reached out to the product support and raised this concern, however he doesn't know what is the issue.

Any thoughts?

I recently got the s23 ultra. I have a 100w charger, 65 w charger, and multiple 100w 5a usb c cords. None show super fast charging 2.0, just super fast charging. I also bought a 45 w insignia charger from best buy specifically advertised for samsung phones, so I'd imagine its designed to reach 45 w charging speeds. It has PPS with 4.something A and 3-11 V just like the samsung charger. So is there something wrong with these phones not showing super fast charging 2.0?

I have the S23 Ultra and have been experiencing issues with it not charging at 45w.  Unlike pretty much anybody else I have seen discuss this issue, I have been using a KillaWatt meter to measure the energy draw that is being used by my charger.

I have an Anker 65w GaN charger that I bought less than a year ago, and it supports PPS, I also have an Anker 6ft USB-C cable that is good for  100w I believe.  I had a Note 10+ previously, and when I charged it with this charger the screen said "Super Fast Charging 2.0" and the power draw was consistently 25-28w until it got to I think 80% and it would charge at 15w from there.

I have tried charging my S23 Ultra at every capacity state, but for this example I will state my experience plugging it in at 30%.  When I plug it in it says "Super Fast Charging" on the screen, and then goes back to saying just "charging" shortly after which has been noted by others to not necessarily mean there is a problem.  On my meter however, it shows the wattage ramping up to 15w, stopping, dropping to 0w, then ramping back to 15w and repeating.  Sometimes the meter only gets to 12w or 13w but that could be because of the polling rate.  The "Super Fast Charging 2.0" option is not available in my settings.

I had 15 minutes to drop by my house yesterday before I had to go to a meeting, and needed to charge my phone.  Previously with my Note 10+ I would be able to get a good amount charged before then even if it was only 10w more than what I've got now, but yesterday it was noticeably less charge gained than what I have been used to, and yes I am taking the extra capacity of the S23U into account.

I feel like this is a known issue in engineering at Samsung, and that there isn't enough people actually testing the charge rate on their new phones for the issue to gain traction.  People experiencing the exact same thing as me will be told by Samsung and people online that they don't have the right cable, charger, or that it really is working but just isn't saying it, and they don't have the ammo to say any different.

I bought the phone from Verizon if that matters.

My guess either they have already updated the SFC on the latest phones in which users will need to buy latest chargers and bricks that comes from either Samsung or Anker.

I saw one from Anker their 45W 313 that claims it supports SFC 2.0. But its out of stock.

Right now I use Ugreen 45W + 100W 5A E-marked cable for charging, it does say SFC only.

We can wait for couple months for the third party to release their new chargers that supports SFC 2.0. Actually its not much big deal from 25W to 45W in terms of the charging times but its good to know that SFC 2.0 works on our device.

I already tried connecting to their product support and it is a mess. They don't understand the issue, and they don't know how to resolve it. They will only tell you to buy their Samsung 45W charger lol.

Charged my S23 Ultra using my A51 fast charger 15watts at 31% to 100% in 1hour and 12mins. Maybe you use this as reference.

It's because you need a 5a cable with a Super Fast Charger. The S23 Ultra only comes with a 3a cable. Unbelievable for a £1,250 phone. I swapped mine out for my old S21 Ultra cable and that works. Such a rip off.

Hello, been having the same issue and can't resolve on my own. Been researching but unable to find any answer. I also bought new chargers to check but still, not resolved.

I recently bought a 65W Anker Nano II charger head. Along with it, I am using the cable that came with my S23 Ultra. "Super fast charging" will show right after plugging in but will switch to "Charging" only right after just 2 sec.

I thought it will show "Super fast charging" along the duration it is plugged in

Don't know what to do anymore

Everyone have Charging port issue. Go to nearest samsung service center and they will replace you charging ports. But after some time the problem will appear again.

The problem is related to moisture sensor of the samsung.
I suggest to charge it for about 10-15mins then replug your charger and it will be super fast charging 2.0. Samsung phones wont super fast charge if there is a moisture so charging it first will dry the moisture then replug your charger

Yes im having the same issue. All these cables and adapters i brought are apparently 45w capable.

I have one adapter (EPT845) that came from temu with a thinner cable.

I have a different adapter (EPT845) that i purchased from a phone shop in the uk when buying the phone and that came with a thin cable.

I asked the guy for the fastest 45w charger + cable and he said that was it.

Both look like 3a cables to me. Both show 'super fast charging' on the screen and make it go blue circle when turned off.

Now since then ive ordered a 'genuine samsung 5a cable' from ebay and ive also recieved another 5a cable (The one that comes with the EPT4510 adapter.) Both are thick and say 5a on them.

But i get the exact same results it doesnt matter what order. They all show up blue circle (45w appaz) but no supercharge 2.0....

So god knows whats going on with this.

....

I just brought a usb c tester and it showing up as 17w atm but my battery at 70+ so ill test it out tomorrow.

You should use a 5A rated cable and atleast 45W charging brick.
