Galaxy SDear all, i want to bring up this issue that I noticed with my brand new S24 Ultra cameras first batch, in particular the 200MP and 50MP where the photos are being turned darker, grainy, patchy or not nice right after taking the photos. It is visible if the photo is taken with the 200 or 50MP, then the photo was fine for a few second until it got ruined after the post-processing kicks in within a few seconds. However, the 12MP photos look fine as it is not affected by the post processing. There is no way to turn off the post processing in the camera setting, tried every method, even in Expert Raw and the results are the same. Sadly, many of my CNY photos (which is the purpose i got this phone for) ruined.
I am not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, so i wrote to Samsung Malaysia reviews and they never responded. Then I sent the phone to the Service Center and now it is being checked. I will update later when the phone has been checked.
I googled and find many others facing this issues in the US but wonder if anyone in Malaysia faces the same issue as me in Malaysia. Otherwise the phone is fine in every aspect. There are a few posts from the internet elsewhere with the same problem.

Please share if you have this problem in Malaysia too. You are not alone!

Galaxy SDear Merry, i just replied to the post. It has a software refresh instead but the improvements are not a lot. Still some hit and miss but definitely better than before.

Galaxy SDear all, I have gotten the phone back from Samsung Service Center yesterday. They told me that they have updated the Operating System to the latest one, i think it is OneUI 6.1 and supposedly fixed the problems. Also, they said that the 24 Ultra has AI, which has the post-processing to make the photos better.
I have tested the 200/50MP cameras and photos results, it is still a hit and miss. At some, i can see it has improved but under certain conditions that it turned out as before, albeit not so dark in the photos after the processing.
I just wish there is a way to completely turn off the post-processing. Samsung please take note of this.
It is very obvious the pictures taken by the 200/50MP are great right after taking it, but 3 seconds later it is ruined by this post processing. Imagine taking a beautiful picture in high resolution of your baby, only to see it suddenly turned into darker, patchy photo a few seconds later in the photo Gallery. 😫

Galaxy SOnly 12mp is acceptable.
.
(Can't post video here, right? Cause I want to show how bad is the post processing through screen recording)

Galaxy SSo more reassuring to know this is not just us facing it alone. Because I was quite alarmed in the beginning when the Samsung Service told me that I am the only one facing this with my cameras. Let's share with others further.

Galaxy SWhat a waste to have these features. The quality is unacceptable given the high price I paid.🥲
