Galaxy SPossible Causes:
* Button timing was wrong
* Work profile/MDM lock
* Buggy software update
Best to report the bug either way in Samsung Members app since the other options require full reset / reflashing / service center visit

Galaxy S1. Clear System UI Cache
* Settings → Apps → 3-dot menu → Show system apps
* Tap System UI → Storage → Clear cache
* Reboot
2. Disable Google App (temporarily)
* Settings → Apps → Google → Disable
* Reboot and check if the widget disappears
3. Boot in Safe Mode
* Hold Power button → Long-press Power off → Tap Safe Mode
* If the widget disappears, a third-party app is the cause
4. (If still unresolved) Report to Samsung
* Samsung Members app → Support → Error reports
Optional (if not already attempted):
* Edit Quick Settings (tap pencil icon) to remove it manually

Galaxy S1. Long press on an empty area of your home screen
2. Tap “Settings” (or just swipe to the left-most screen)
3. Toggle “Google Discover” back on
---
If the Quick Settings bug happens to return, you’ll need to choose between:
* Keeping the Google app enabled with the bug, or
* Keeping it disabled without Discover
