Galaxy SBy default the Gallery has 'essential folders' turned on. Click 'view all' to see the rest. Might have the photos in one of those?

Galaxy SHi @Nehasaha ,
Sorry to hear that this has happened!
I can guide you through a few steps to check what might've happened to your photos.
Firstly, please check your Recycle Bin in Gallery in case you have accidentally deleted those images.
If it is not in Recycle Bin, check if your images can be located via My Files through these steps below.
My Files > Internal Storage > DCIM > Camera
Lastly, if it cannot be located via My Files, check if the images are saved to Google Photos or OneDrive.
Please let us know if none of those steps have worked out for you.
Warm regards,
s_amsungsonny

Galaxy SHi @Nehasaha ,
Glad to hear that you've located your photos!
In terms of why your images may have stopped appearing in your Gallery, images may have been deleted from the device by a Cloud prompt, such as Google Photos, to free up space in your device.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Warm regards,
s_amsungsonny
