I have been a loyal Samsung phone user for years now and have had many different versions. I upgraded my s10 after 3 years to a s23 ultra. Purchased the same otterbox folio case that I've been using for years which also protects the screen. Hadn't bothered with a screen protector for my s10 and it still looks mint so didn't see why I should need one for my s23. Oh how wrong I was. My folio case has a spot for your cards on the inside, it immediately started rubbing on the screen of my s23 and has caused a line of abrasions before I even realized after only a couple of months. My S10 had these same cards and same design/brand of case for 3 years and didn't suffer any scratches! It obviously has a superior screen compared to the s23. Samsung should be providing a screen protector or some sort of warning to all buyers of the s23.
I am in exactly the same position as you. Upgraded fom Gaxaxy 21 to Galaxy 23 ultra.
The credit cards rubbed a line all the way accross the screen.
When I attempted to remove and replace the protective cover I was amazed to find I didn't have one. All the iPhones I've had did have a cover as standard.
It's back to iPhone now.
Very, very disappointed as the resale value will be much less.
