Yep. RCS Chat. It's a feature that allows you to send messages over data. Bale android counterpart sya ng imesseges on iphones. It works like Facebook chat messenger except that thru native messaging app sya. Explore your settings ng messaging app mo so you will see. Look for RCS Chat, it's either you totally disable it if hindi mo naman gagamitin (not recommended) or hanapin mo lang yung setting about AUTOMATICALLY SEND AS SMS.

Then if hindi mo sya alam, probably you will not be using it. Turn off mo lang then see if it will fix the prob.

If hindi pa rin gagana, one thing that you can look into is your network.

Sabi mo naka postpaid ka. Yung device mo ba is locked to a network and are you using the same sim from where you get your device? If yes, then reach out ka sa network provider mo. If no, baka naka-lock yung device mo.

If hindi pa rin gumagana after all of those, then I recommend that you go back where you bought the phone or the nearest samsung service center.

Go to your Messgaes app, tap the Three Dot menu on the middle right of your screen and tap Chat Settings. Disable Chat Features, and this might help with sending your messages via SMS instead of RCS.1719396853236_1719396853228_0.png

If you cannot send SMS using Samsung Messages, first thing you need to do is to check if SMS Message Center number is properly setup. Go to Samsung Message Settings > More Settings > Text Message. If you have a dual SIM phone like mine you need to check each inserted SIM's Message center if properly setup. Mine's GOMO and Globe, both using Globe's Message Center number (see photos). If you are using other network, check from their support center for the Message Center number.

Also check if your number has activated Call Barring feature which disables calling and sending SMS.
To check it yourself go to Call Settings > Supplementary Services > Call Barring. Better call customer service of your network for assistance on this feature.

Also possible reason why you can't send SMS even if you are a Postpaid subscriber is because your account may have been temporarily suspended the Calls and Text services due to unpaid bills or you may have exceeded your credit limit. Better check with your customer support of your network, or better visit their service centers in malls near you so they can properly investigate your account and also see and troubleshoot your phone.1719401127723.jpg1719401127761.jpg1719401127803.jpg1719401127868.jpg
