Bought a S23 Ultra 1Tb for a bargain price off marketplace - with the original JB Hifi receipt!! Thought that was a positive. Showed me the imei number on the box, searched it to show me it wasn't stolen or blocked.

Wouldn't sync with my calendar. Couldn't get it to connect to Android Auto, most apps weren't available on this model.
Took it to my Samsung service centre to get to the bottom of my issues - they tell me it's a Korean model.
Serial no matches the receipt but the imei doesn't match. Very expensive paper weight.

Good call. I'll look into how to do that

Maybe did a device swap with JBHiFi? And someone bought it as well and found out the reason not specifically made for oz

Yep, either that or they made a genuine looking JB receipt.

When you go into Settings-> About Phone
What does it say next to Model Name?

Also, in Settings-> About Phone-> Software Information
What does it list under Service provider software version?

Tap on the image to see it.

It should show:
Model name SM-S918 and then a letter

Can you post a screen shot.

That sounds like it's not even a real Samsung Device.

If it was a genuine Korean S23U, it should show SM-S918N
