My wife and I share a phone. We use Secure Folder with of course a security password on the folder. For convenience we have no security on the phone (and nothing there we need to hide).
The latest OS update now insists we have a phone sign-on security in order to use Secure Folder. A second layer which we dont need. Is there any way to revert to the previous arrangement ?

Unfortunately, they removed that option. You will now need to have phone lock set up to use Secure Folder.

You can try downgrading to a lower OS version as long as you have the same bootloader. I don't suggest doing it unless you know what you're doing, as it might brick your phone.

You can try sending feedback to Samsung Devs by going to the Members App > Support tab > Send feedback.

Thank you. I won't take up the OS backshift. But will send feedback. Otherwise its Google Files Safe Folder for documents, and pins on apps.

Hi @Rowdy99,

This is intended behaviour of B OS. To use Secure Folder, a regular lock screen method is required.

We will be forwarding the feedback to our relevant teams.

We also would not recommend that you downgrade to a lower OS version, as this could potentially cause more issues within your device.

Warm regards,
