I wouldn't upgrade for camera features. The question is whether AI is important to you. If it is I would Google for comparison of AI differences between the two models and the likelihood that you would use the newer features.

If Al advancements, performance, and design tweaks matter to you, it might be worth it. Otherwise, the jump isn't massive, and waiting for the S26 could bring bigger changes.

I've the s23 ultra and I'm upgrading. There's a big improvement in battery and performance. Also the camera is better.

With the most respect for others, I think the Camera update is felt. Samsung uses a new ProVisual Engine for their camera/video processing and this has helped to reduce noise by approx 40%, amongst other benefits. A bigger thermal sink has also been added, so it helps with reducing heat while using the phone extensively.

Their AI capability is also a lot more natural to use.

I honestly wasn't convinced at the start, but as you got to use this feature, it's actually very well implemented.

I'd go to your nearest shop and play around.

Oh and try the Audio Eraser while you're there.

I think it depends.
If you are after latest and greatest, yes, it feels lighter, screen's anti reflective surface, wide angle camera, performance will feel better.
If you are looking for significant update, I would wait for next year.
Software wise, many if not most AI features can be brought to your current device via OTA updates but time will tell how many.

If you don't mind shelling out some money to have a shiny new phone, it makes sense. If you current device is lacking something such as struggle with performance or battery, it is time but I don't think that's the case.

I would just keep using the S23 Ultra because it saves money.
