Hi, guys. So, using an S23 Ultra to mirror my phone to my TV, now the thing is, when I connect, on my phone it says this device isn't recommended for mirroring, when it connect, the lag is ridiculous, it's alright for movies I guess but for games you can tell the response isn't the same as on the phone. There's a delay, something got to do with network transfer or something, though there's nothing wrong with my router. I'm using an app called airscreen to mirror my phone to the TV. Now on Apple devices there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. But as soon I connect with my Android phone, suddenly the lag between the two is obvious. Please help, or this just another con Android thing.

Well I fixed the issue. Just bought a type C to a hdmi cable. Plug that in and smooth as butter.

I suggest looking at your wi-fi network. Your Apple could be using 5G and your phone 2.4G. Note your networkbis dealing with two activities, router to phone, phone to tv.

If both on 2.4 they could be interfering withbeach other. On android download wi-fi analyzer (fastproc I think). Walk around the house checkong reception to make yourself familiar with this. Note 5G is fsst but travels a shorter distance. You will be able to see what your Apple device is using as well. If close to a neighbour you mighy find their use is also providing iinterference.

Okay, my network speed is 700 but download speed is 80mbps. Also the casting isn't all that bad but it's just isn't as smooth as iPhone devices, not sure if there native casting is just better then Android. Smartview on Android is okay, but isn't satisfactorily. Casting via Google home is also seems abit better but still not as smooth.

Hmm, they both using 5G, it wasn't just this phone either, my old Android phones had the same problem, but iPhone never has, I wonder if iPhone just more compatible or has better software for mirroring then Android has. My router is easily pushing 700 to 800Mbps a second so I know it isn't the router.

Both 2.4 and 5G use frequencies to transmit and receive. So, using wi-fi analyzer will tell you whether your devices are using the same frequency and interfering with each other. In your router you can lock the network to one frequency to keep it separate from the other. As an example, 2.4 has around 12 useable frequencies (5,4 has more). So looking at wi-fi analyzer graphs will show you if there is an overlap. Your Apple device may be using a different frequency and looking at this will help you determine if an overlap is the cause of the problem. I recommend looking at a few YouTube videos searching for something like wi-fi problems, similarly googling something like poor wi-fi connections, will also bring up the issues. If you have close neighbours their networks will show in wi-fi analyzer so you can see if their equipment is part of the problem.

Oh, I myself don't have an apple device, the other day I thought to try using his phone to cast as see if he has the same issue. Which he didn't, his screen was a smooth has his phone. And my neighbours are far. But I'll see about the frequency, thanks.

Have you tried mirroring using google photos app? That's usually faster than other third party apps

I tried Google home, to mirror my screen, though still a delay. Maybe I'm asking for to much.
