Galaxy SMy S22 phone was just 'infected' with the green line issue. I took the phone to the Samsung service centre for checking. Although there was no dispute from the staff that the cause was due to the software updating, I was later informed that it would cost RM575.40 for screen replacement. How can Samsung expect it's customers to pay for repairs due to its software issues? Imagine a retiree like me having cough up such a repair fee for a 2 yr old + branded phone? Does Samsung care about its social responsibilities and it's reputation?

Galaxy SHi Moderator,
What do you mean when you told Htan that you can assist him? Also, why are you selective in who you respond to? Many of us have the same problem with green lines appearing on our screens after updating the phone software and have posted our problem here in the Samsung community forum, yet we did not receive any response from you or Samsung. Like Htan, I, too, went to Samsung's service centre and was told to cough up RM600 for a replacement screen. As someone who has retired and has no source of income, I won't be able to afford that. And certainly, we cannot afford to buy another phone. Can you let us know if there is a Samsung programme to replace screens for the S22+ at a reduced rate, just as what they did for the S21?
