Has anyone experienced a sudden appearance of a vertical thin white line (on the right side) of their Samsung Galaxy S22+ screen?

I’m extremely frustrated right now because of this. Even though it’s not very visible, it’s bothering me a lot since I know it’s a problem that could worsen—potentially leading to multiple lines, or even green or pink lines.

I’ve already tried restarting my phone and changing the motion smoothness to 60Hz, but the line is still there. I contacted a Samsung agent, and they advised me to have the phone diagnosed at a service center.

Does anyone have an idea how much this would cost to fix? I’m so disappointed. I never had issues like this with my previous Samsung A70, but now I’m facing it with a flagship phone. Haaays.

I can totally understand your frustration, itsdgrace. 😔 A line like that can definitely be concerning, especially on a flagship phone. For this issue, we recommend visiting a nearby service center for a diagnosis and repair. They’ll be able to provide you with an exact quote once they’ve assessed the problem.

You can find the nearest service center to you here: http://smsng.co/SCLocator-SM 📍

📱 We also made it easy for you to book your appointment! You may do so directly from the Support tab on your Samsung Members app.

🛵 If you're from Metro Manila and cannot find the time to personally visit a service center, you can have it picked up*!

To book your pickup, you may call the following numbers:

#GALAXY (#425299) - Toll-free, all networks
(02) 8 422-2111 - Standard Landline

*Galaxy pickup is free ONLY for flagship devices. Service fee applies to other models and varies per service center.

Update as of Dec 17: The line is now green and more visible. The green line becomes thicker when the motion smoothness is set to 120 Hz (see attached pic)

Mine's an S21 Ultra naman. It started to develop a green vertical line in the middle part of the screen. I take very good care of my phone, screen and body protected since day one, never played games and yet Samsung managed to put a mediocre display (which has these after an update, or, without doing anything) on a flagship model. Should we all file a class lawsuit for Samsung to act on it? C'mon Samsung you can make a recall to replace your mediocre screens.
