Urgent Complaint – Green Line Issue on Samsung Phone S22+

Dear Samsung Support Team,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a persistent and frustrating issue with my Samsung phone—a bright green line appearing on the display.

This issue first occurred last week when my phone’s battery drained completely. Upon recharging it, I noticed a faint green line appearing on the screen. Over time, the issue has worsened significantly, and it has now become a glaring bright green line, resembling a laser alignment tool used in construction. This is affecting my user experience, making the phone difficult to use, and is extremely disappointing given Samsung’s reputation for quality.

After doing some research, I found that this green line problem is a widespread issue among Samsung users, often occurring due to software updates or hardware defects in OLED screens. Despite numerous reports from customers, Samsung has yet to offer a proper resolution or recall for affected devices. Given that this is a well-documented flaw and even happened on my previous S7 Edge phone from Samsung, I expect Samsung to take responsibility and offer a free screen replacement or a viable solution to resolve this issue.

I have been a loyal Samsung user for years, but this experience has made me seriously reconsider my commitment to the brand. If no action is taken to resolve this matter, I will have no choice but to switch my entire household to a different smartphone brand that values long-term customer satisfaction and product reliability.

Please advise on how I can proceed with a warranty claim, free repair, or an official resolution from Samsung, as this is clearly a manufacturing defect and not due to user negligence. I look forward to a prompt response and an acceptable resolution to this matter.

The free replacement already gone with the wind. You have to pay for a new phone or a new screen.

it happened to my s21+ a year ago after software update. i have to forked out the money to repair it. It happened to my sis's s22+ too few months back. We both are samsung supporter since Galaxy S2.. now i dont even dare to update software. 🙄

Dont bother to use samsung phone. I had the green line issue after i updated software on my S22 Ultra. I lodge many report and went to Samsung center in Low Yat plaza and tge representative there said there is no free screen replacement even thought this problem is recognised worldwide. Only India is giving free screen replacement for certain model. I already switch to iphone now despite many years as loyal samsung user. Samsung dont give a f about their customer.

Same frustration as loyal customers and yet the quality is bad after s20 , didnt expect to happen on my phone as i used s3 till s23 and just happened 3 lines now... kinda sad they dun provide free replacement as hardware defects which is not human damage
