Galaxy SMy samsung s22 usb tethering drops out after an hour.
Windows diagnosis says invalid IP configuration.
Tethering was working up until around the last software update.
I have proven the fault is in the s22 as tethering works with out dropout using my s7 on the same laptop.
Samsung requested i do a network reset, Apps default reset and then full reset.
I did the first two but didn't fix the problem.
I'm hesitant to do the full reset as i will loose all my date and i believe the problem is the software update.
I disabled the anti virus in the s22 but i don't think it scans live data only the apps that are installed, That didn't fix the dropouts.
I'm not happy with Samsung service, they just give you a standard response to reset everything when they know the latest software update has caused freezing/bricking in a number of the phones.
Hope someone has found a fix. Very frustrating

Galaxy SIf you've tried everything, I do recommend doing a factory reset.
If you're afraid of losing data, I recommend using Smart Switch from Samsung to back up everything onto your computer.
Then use Smart Switch to put everything back on your phone. Smart Switch will place everything back to where you left it and all you have to do is log into your socials and applications 🙂
Very seamless process.

Galaxy SI did the smart switch backup and factory data reset and still have the usb tether dropout after one hour.
Rang samsung the problem still happening.
They wanted me to send the phone away for repair and be without a phone for who nows long.
I believe with the regular 1 hour dropout it must be a software problem as the fault started around the time of the latest software update.
The latest software update has caused problems with a range or samsung phones and the only way people can get their phones to work again is to do a full data reset.
I hope samsung can get their act together or i won't be buying another samsung product again.

Galaxy SFound a fix.
After doing the factory reset i still had the usb tethering dropouts
Then after restored my phone with smart switch still had the problem.
But after then updating all my app's on play store, the usb tethering dropout after an hour seem to be fixed.
So it seemed to have been a software problem, but after a factory reset and Google App's update.
Is all tethering good now without any dropouts.
