Galaxy S2 days ago out of no where I got a pink vertical line on my screen. Phone was not dropped or in contact with any liquids it was a secure on my table and I was watching a YouTube video n then suddenly a pink line appeared. Immediately I restarted the phone, and line was gone. Then it came back, then restarted it again n it went away. When I went to sleep that night there was no pink line, woke up to the pink line, and now no matter how many times I restart phone, it stays . I tried the *#0*# trick, nothing, booted in safe mode, line is still there. As I search this, I see this is a common defect samsung has. 1,500 $ for a phone you would think the company would atleast stand by their products. But I have called and they won't help. What a shame. Guess no more samsung for me.

Galaxy Ssame has occurred with my Samsung S20 plus. purchased mine January 2022. I too have not dropped my phone and no water damage. Monday November 27/11/2023 - no pink line, tuesday morning November 28/11/2023 - vertical pink line on my screen. I contact samsung support via Samsung Members support chat - I had done all of the suggested tips - software updates are up to date, reset phone, *#0*# etc etc. Nothing worked. October 25 did the October 1 security patch update., tonight there was another One UI update. Still that freaking pink line
Support chat also said for me to take to a service centre to investigate the issue and that I will probably be charged to fix it as it's probably a hardware issue. I said that didn't seem fair, especially as I didn't do anything to cause this to occur and have seen in samsung forum that this appears to be an issue that other people have also experienced, so clearly it's a device fault and should be corrected by samsung free of charge. Very disappointing as I have been a samsung customer for a very long time. Have purchased many samsung mobile phones and tablets and TVs. Not happy and this is not acceptable. I'm venting and am quite sure that this probably isn't even monitored by samsung anymore, so nothing will come out of it. The pink line is doing my head in and it's frustrating as it's there as a constant reminder that samsung doesn't really care about their loyal customers. DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!
