Has been with Samsung since Note 9. Bought my Z Flip 4, 8mths ago despite a lot complaints from surrounding, and to my dissapointment, within 8mths the screen have issue blackout when flip close and open. Went to Samsung, without checking by Engineer they dispute my warranty and asked for payment to go ahead with repair which cost $439. Spoken to customer service, called hotline even Management, insisted on my issue.
This is so dissappointed which Samsung is clearly out to "eat" customer money!
Anti Samsung and will be out from supporting it!

They say it is voided so long there is some scratches or damages to phone which i dispute and insisted how can that attibute to the inside hardware issue.

Yeah, micro scratches shouldn't be a reason for voiding the warranty. I would suggest visiting another service centre, since every customer service officer has different standard.

Sadly your experience is sounding too common for many owners. Samsung is not choosing to honour their warranty on the failures of Fold/Flip attributed to the moving parts (hinge, flex cable.. etc) and passing on the repair cost to their customers.
You need to realise that every Fold/Flip is a ticking time bomb, including my own less than 1 mth old Fold5. My wife was very impressed with the Flip5 design but backed away when I told her that the folding parts WILL fail, it is just a matter of time.
Also, Samsung could give a rat's a** if you have been a customer since the 1st Note. Good luck.

Yeah! Too common thus I told management this is happening on so many customer but they refuse to admit the issue to the phone.

It does come up very often in comments. I think that's why now there's a free Samsung Care+ for the first year. I agree with trying with another Service Centre. I had some issue with my OG Z Flip before, one branch didn't honor my receipt (because it's from a 3rd party seller), but the nice lady at the Plaza Singapura branch told me they'd make an exception. In your case it's the whole screen so might be a bit tricky, but I guess worth a shot for $400+!

Yeah, for the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4, they removed the free 1 year Care+, which they had included for Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3. Looks like most of the screen issues surface after close to 1 year of usage, hence they probably re-introduce back the complimentary 1 year Care+.

Agreed that it really depends on the officer who is serving u at that point of time. If unfortunate and being served by a staff who simply wants to clear the customers quickly, then the customer who had a real manufacturer defect, is unable to get his/hers repaired under warranty.

Yeah definitely worth a try until the last hope, as I believe that there are still some staff who are experienced and know of the common issues which are qualified for repair without questions asked. Like for my Z Fold 3, no questions asked upon telling them that my Wi-Fi and Mobile Hotspot were not working.

As JP19 mentioned, the Samsung Care+ was offered with the Z Fold3 (can't recall for Fold4 launch). No matter, what is most important here is whether failure within 1st year is covered by the warranty or Samsung Care+. Or you get an officer that insist YOU caused the failure due to your negligence.
"Look at this (microscopic) scratch on your side of your phone, you must have dropped it from a moving vehicle. Warranty voided!"
Galaxy Z
Yes thats their reply, but they will say is "cosmetic damage" thus the warranty voided"
