For icloud you need to do a specific procedure to be able to login and see your email since it use different protocol. I will suggest you to contact apple since they are responsible for their service of icloud anyoshow you the procedure. Basically you need to get a device code from apple/icloud and this going to link your samsung email to your icloud and login normally but on Apple site you will find it explained
It does work, but you'll need a code generated from Apple. I can't remember the process, because I just noted down the code and never had to do it again. But you do need to login to your Apple account: https://account.apple.com/
