I've been quite disappointed with the Z Flip 5. Despite its innovative form factor, its durability has been a significant issue. A minor drop resulted in a faulty screen, and the costly repair process was far from ideal. Furthermore, the device's performance, particularly in terms of thermal management and battery life, has fallen short of expectations, playing game in this phone is pain in the ***, FPS drops everytime as if it's not a flagship phone, especially considering its premium price point. Unfortunately, compared to my iPhone 14 Pro Max, it feels like a significant downgrade in terms of overall user experience.
Same experience with me. (flip4) 1 minor drop, screen goes black. Repair cost -14k. I do love it's features but am a bit worried this phone won't last.
Well I went with social convention had my flip4 repaired at Greenhills, set back of 14k but at least it works great now again. It's been more than 30 days since repair and no glitches so far. 😊
My Z flip got a small dead pixel near the hinge but thank goodness it was really near before my warranty ended so I got that fixed for free. But yeah, it shouldnt be that way at all considering the fact that I'm very careful with it, never dropped, rarely used outside, and rarely folded too. Flip phones are cute and can be portable, really, but it's NOT durable as they claim it to be. Also noticed that the cover screen is starting to become faulty when I try to close it. It becomes so unresponsive!!!
