Hi. My daughter bought me a new Z Flip for Christmas, and as much as I like everything about it (I have been using a Flip 3 for the last 3 years) I am now really quite angry and pissed off with it. It has developed a habit of locking me out, telling me that I have made too many attempts to unlock the phone with my fingerprint. The first couple of times it had been on my table and not touched and locked me out for 3-7 minutes. Then it got worse, not only did the next time it locked me out, for 36 minutes, it also erased all the cards from my Samsung Wallet. About an hour ago it did it again, this time for 28 minutes. I waited the 28 minutes and tried again, successfully, but I closed the phone and then thought I had better check my wallet and it has locked me out again for 52 minutes.
Does anyone have any idea as to what the hell is going on, or should I just bin this very expensive Christmas present and go back to my good old Flip 3?
I initially had trouble with my fingerprint scanner on the S23. It wouldn't accept it at all,I had to dampen my finger to get it to work. I canned it and ended up going back to using a pin. It's never failed. I'd say forget the fingerprint and use a pin.
I'm suffering the same problem. I even turned off finger print. Pulled my phone outta my pocket and opened it to find "too many failed pin attempts, try again in 39 minutes" hadn't even touched the bloody thing for a while!
It didn't cause my sumsung wallet to wipe, but I have had that issue seperately as well. I have had to sign up for samsung wallet about 4 times now!
