Double check you don't have aeroplane mode on. search for what settings turn wi-fi off. Resetting doesn't clear caches, identify how to do this, noting you will lose data for those you clear. Include clearing cache for Google Play Services when doing this. If you fix the problem set up automatic backup for both Samsung and Google, find under Settings, search or scroll to find backup.
