Galaxy ZHello JLHB. I am Avinash, from Samsung.
We're sorry to learn of your experience with your Galaxy Z Flip3 5G. Can we trouble you to perform the following troubleshooting steps?
1. Please ensure there is nothing covering the speaker at the top of the front of your device. A poorly placed screen protector is one of the most common causes of low volume during calls.
2. Test if the issue persists in safe mode.
It boots the phone with factory settings, while temporarily disabling all the third-party applications. This helps us to understand whether the issue is caused due to any application conflict or a software problem.
>> Power off the phone.
>> Power on the phone. The Galaxy logo displays.
>> When the Samsung logo appears press and hold the volume down button.
>> 'Safe Mode' displays on the bottom left hand side of the screen when the steps above are done correctly.
>> You may restart your device to exit from safe mode
3. Check the microphone and receiver of the device
- Open Voice Recorder and record your voice.
- Playback the recording to see if you can hear yourself.
- If you can hear yourself, it is likely that there is an issue with the other end of the voice call or your service provider.
- If you cannot hear yourself in the voice recording, please proceed to the next step.
- Check to see if the microphone and receiver are blocked/dirty. If it is blocked or dirty, gently brush it off using a dry toothbrush or a brush. After you have cleaned your device, test your device again to see if there is sound.
4. Perform Hardware Test on Samsung Member Application
- On your device, launch Samsung Member application
- Tap on Get Help
- Tap on view test under Diagnostics tab
- Tap on Speaker> See the result.
5. Contact your service provider to check the network stability or if there have been any network interruptions in your area.
- If your service provider confirms that there is currently an issue, you may need to wait until your service provider resolves the current network problems.
Please call our Samsung Care Line 1800-726-7864 for Smart Tutor Service if the issue persists. The advantage is, we will be able to assist you with further troubleshooting over the call.
Thank you.

Galaxy ZI've had a Zflip 3 (Purchased 4 months ago) that was repaired once, had the same static issue reappear (Ubreak I Fix did something but didn't say anything beyond "cleaning"), about a week later the static was back. Sent it to Samsung, and now the phone is being returned "unrepaired" needless to say I'm pissed. I'll reassess the phone once I receive it back, and if the static is there I fully intend on escalating the issue because I feel that this is indicative of a design flaw if the speaker malfunctions this easily, and that the slightest amount of dirt can cause it to distort. The speaker is silent on normal modes and requires the "hard of hearing mode" to be used by persons without hearing issues.

Galaxy ZSame issues with mine. And a friends... UBreakIFix said they won't fix it under warranty because of a couple marks on the hinge. It's always been in the Samsung flip case so seems they need to offer a better one then. Sent it in, they said it's an out of warranty repair, $377 to fix it. They did offer to trade it in and get $700 credit but I really doubt they'll give me that much.
