Z Fold 3 Wifi connection issue

Was accessing my email via my ZF3 than the page got hang and reboot. After it reboot, the phone is unable to connect to wifi anymore. Tried some remedies found online such as switch off for 10-15min. At first whem i turn on my phone after 15min, i would be able to connect to wifi. After when i unfold it got hang and reboot again. Today went down to service center and they quote $660 for the repair. Which is almost 50% of the purchase price. The customer service does not recognise that this is a samsung hardward problem and said this could be human misuse. I have been using samsung product for many years and this is the first time experiencing hardware problem. **bleep** disappointed with their product.

Im beginning to wonder if Whatsapp could have been the cause. Never had issue with my wifi until on a whatsapp call April 29th, the phone shuts down and upon restart, No wifi or Bluetooth! My inner screen has already been replaced once due to going green. Samsung repair said they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it after having it for 2 days. SMH.

Hey Zatsuma, my issue also arose from WhatsApp. When the Wi-Fi issue first appeared, it was the time when I accessed WhatsApp, then it auto-restarted and the wifi button is automatically turned off upon rebooted and couldn't be toggled on.

Many reports for Fold 3 since updated.

I have this exact same issues, no WiFi, Mobile Hotspot doesn't work.  If this is a hardware issue, Samsung should step up, I've had this phone about 1 1/2 years and this is the second issue that needs repair.  For $2,000, I expect better.

Hey, did ur phone just auto restart suddenly, and u are unable to turn on wifi afterwards? If u keep trying to toggle on, the wifi button will turn light blue and disappears once u go back to main screen (closing the notification drop down), correct?

Dear MinRay,

ZF3 using from Hong Kong, with same issue, after update One Ui 5.0 to 5.1 and the phone restart it could not go on Wi-Fi. Tried "General Management" "Reset"  "Reset network settings" did not work, tried "Factory Reset" and did not resolve it.

Brought it in to service center and had the same telling me the Wi-Fi module is damage and need to change it, but because its link to the LCD it will need to be change as well (repair cost💸 4200hk$ 535US$ **😡bleep😠**) after 2 day back and forward they told me they give me 50% off the repair cost, as I did not want to wait anymore I paid for the new quotation and now waiting for my phone to get repaired because I press update 5.0 to 5.1 lol. 😂
