Have Your SayI purchased a new A54 2 weeks ago. in setting phone up i was prompted to instal Finger Scan as an alternative means of unlocking the phone. After 1 week and using both the pin code and finger scan, the finger scan icon disappeared and i was prompted to apply my 4 digit code. Device wouldn't accept the code. Went to a retail store for support and I was told the phone needed to be reset to factory settings which i did. Using the backup method from my 'dying' older device the device prompted me to input my 4 digit code and guess what, it worked. Samsung techo was flabergasted. One week later I was locked out again but this time I had used the 4 digit code method to unlock not comfortable with the finger scan. Now i have had to surrender the phone while a full diagnostic is done. Thats going to take a week. On this occasion however I was told that this impromptu locking of the screen is a recognised defect /fault. My question is why in the hell do Samsung keep manufacturing, distrubuting and selling these devices if a fault is present. And in particular now I will be forced in to another factory reset this time without backup. That in turn means countless hours setting up a whole new library of apps I use which in turn means new passwords. This is not funny Samsung.
