I hate galaxy ai and all these languages packs trying to update on my phone. Samsung sell you a 1Tb phone and then try steal all your storage with stuff you don't want or need. I don't need interpreting. I speak English and only speak to people who speak English. Yet ai and other rubbish I'm forced to have is trying to steal more than 7gb of my storage that will snowball from here. I have grown to hate S25 and all this new ***. I'm going to get rid of this phone, hit social media and suggest people don't buy Samsung products. Worst decision I ever made was to upgrade to this s25 ultra rubbish. Goodbye.

I did some testing; if you delete the language pack through General Management > Language Packs, it will also be removed from the list of system apps. So, no need to uninstall or disable it in Settings > Apps > (click the sort arrow beside "Your apps") > Show system apps.

I have deleted all language packs i can. Yet they continue to come up in the store as "Updates". My confusion is why, if uninstaller, to they still show up as needing to be updated?

Ahhh some languages you can not uninstall, but you can disable them.

Settings > Apps > click the sort arrow beside "Your apps" > Show system apps > find the app > you can now disable those languages.1744405807692.jpg1744405807720.jpg

You are right for those listed in the Settings Apps section. If your Samsung happens to have the offending TTS that my S24 Ultra has (by the way my Tab S9 has none of those) you will find that they don't come up on the apps list. https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tablets/samsung-store-unwanted-software-updates/td-p/30656915?sr... and https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tablets/why-does-samsung-update-present-tts-voices-foreign-to-my...

Totally understand your frustration but also understand there are some things they have to include esp as we are in a multicultural country. I am not 100% on AI either and the effect that may have on the community and the wider world, good or bad. But it seems the way its going...for now. Good to see your perspective on the new device in the way you have said as everyone is different and all have different requirements and such real feedback is not seen commonly. Hope all is good otherwise 😊

Hi @Froglette !

Just adding onto the post, if you follow the steps below, it will allow the deletion of language packs, including the SamsungTTS packs shown within the apps list.

Settings > General Management > Language packs > Delete > (select desired packs) > "Delete" button > Confirm Delete (no longer use that language for voice input, TTS or translation

I hope this helps!

Warm regards,

I have done that. Deleted over 7gb of unwanted. But even though I've deleted them, they are now showing in store as needing to be updated. If deleted how are they showing as "updates"
