This is a suggestion. ☆ see update below.

I wear bifocal spectacles with the sunnies clipon giving extra blue light filter protection. I also have cataracts starting to form as well in both eyes.

I use my phone in Dark mode for extra clarity.

The default hyperlinked/emphasised text created by Samsung is a shiny midnight blue. This is almost impossible to read on a dark background. The Telstra blue is a paler almost lavender blue and is much clearer and easier to read.

I have changed the system colour on my ZFlip6 phone to show important text and symbols in bright green, which really pops and looks cleaner as well on a dark background. This works well for me as my eyesight is sharper when black text is on a light green background or vice versa.

My hopeful suggestion is that Samsung will change the default colour they use, especially for Dark Mode. Of course, another way to handle this would be to Bold the hyperlinked/emphasised text without changing its colour; that way, in Dark Mode it would be like a white bolder text on a blackboard. Very easy to read.

Another thing. Please remember: The world's population is getting older, not younger, and, therefore, some of us will have eyesight issues which we don't want to make worse by straining to read something that is illegible.

2sep24 Update:

Guys, why didn't you tell me!

Despite having Edge as well, on my ZFlip6 the default browser is Samsung Internet. I like it very much.

At the time of writing this post, I had not delved into the inner workings of Samsung Internet. I did so today. Yay, I hear you say! 😅 Yes, some of us take just a little bit longer.

Settings I have now changed to include:

• Mobile sites
• Dark theme sites
• Text size now at 130%
• Reader mode icon in Navigation bar
• AdBlocker is auto-on
• Open tabs on the Bookmark bar

I am now not straining. Phew!

What I would still like Samsung to consider is using bold and underscored text, rather than coloured text, for hyperlinks, eg Samsung Message Guard

Here's a screenshot showing an open tab in Samsung Internet with the new settings.

😁👌🙏 Now, the next stage in this campaign is to get Samsung to increase the size of body text as you can't zoom in on some pages. Are you with me on this? 😅

😆 50:50 hehe I say have the option or ability to zoom on any page! I am good one some and bad on some so give us the ability to adjust! 😆😆

I think larger text is the way to go, then you won't need to zoom in at all.

Nice update! Didn't think to look into the setting either and I already had dark theme on in general since previous phones so didn't think to mention that. But thats cool! I don't use samsing internet but might look into it now 😊 cheers! 👍🏻

Do a search and scroll right to the bottom, just after " more results tab" you will see a "dark theme" option tab. Turn it on and the issue will be resolved.
