I have just had a 8kw Samsung split system aircon fitted. All my other outside aircon units run whisper quiet, even units around a decade old. The Samsung unit, however, emits a highly audible drone. See video attached. Is this normal? I called Samsung and they said if they did not find a fault there would be a $220 fee. I don’t want the engineer to attend, tell me it is a noisy unit as standard, and charge me $220 for the pleasure.
So, can anyone tell me if the noise in the video is typical of Samsung aircons? I have a new Samsung unit for a bedroom , however, that noise would disturb sleep so it won’t be installed.
