Members Star's CornerIt’s been 40 days since I got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and I have to say—this phone has completely redefined my expectations. Every time I think Samsung has peaked, they somehow manage to outdo themselves. I’ve used a lot of flagship phones over the years, but this one? It feels like they’ve fine-tuned everything to near perfection.
So, what’s it like living with the S25 Ultra? Let me break it down.
That Display? Unreal.
I know we say this every year, but Samsung’s display game is unmatched. The Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen is insanely bright (2,600 nits!), making it super easy to use outdoors—even in direct sunlight. Scrolling feels ridiculously smooth thanks to the 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Whether I’m doomscrolling at night or watching 4K videos during lunch, it’s just a delight to look at.
Speed, Power, and Zero Lag
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy (or Exynos 2500, depending on where you are) makes this thing a beast. Every app opens instantly, and multitasking is seamless. I’ve edited 4K videos, played high-end games, and even run multiple apps side by side—no stutters, no heating issues. It just handles everything effortlessly.
Samsung has also leaned heavily into AI optimizations, and it shows. The phone learns my habits—when to slow things down to save battery and when to push performance when I need it.
Camera: AI Magic at Work
If you love photography, you’ll love this camera. The 200MP primary sensor is insane for detail, but the real star is AI image processing. Low-light shots? Sharper, clearer, and more natural. No more weird overexposed night shots.
Then there’s the 5x periscope zoom, which some were skeptical about after Samsung moved away from the 10x optical zoom. But honestly? The AI-powered zoom at 10x and even 30x is shockingly good. It feels like software is doing magic in the background, pulling out details that my eyes didn’t even notice in real life.
Portraits have also leveled up—DSLR-like bokeh, better edge detection, and more natural skin tones. No more over-smoothened faces or weird halo effects.
Battery Life That Actually Lasts
Samsung finally nailed the battery life this year. With 5,500mAh, I’m easily getting two days on a single charge with moderate use. Even on heavy days, where I’m constantly on calls, taking photos, and streaming music, I still have over 30% left at night. And when I do need to charge, the 65W fast charging is a lifesaver—0 to 100% in under 45 minutes.
AI That Feels Like a Personal Assistant
I wasn’t expecting One UI 7’s AI features to make such a big difference, but they do. The "Live Translate" feature in calls? Game-changer if you deal with multiple languages. The AI-powered photo remastering, smart replies, and notification summaries make daily tasks feel smoother. It’s subtle, but you start to notice how much time it saves.
Build & Feel – Premium, Yet Comfortable
Samsung went titanium this year, and you can feel the difference. It’s lighter, but still feels incredibly solid. The slightly curved edges make it comfortable to hold, and it’s just a beautiful device. This phone looks and feels like it means business.
Final Thoughts – Is It Worth It?
After 40 days, I can say with confidence: the Galaxy S25 Ultra is Samsung’s best phone yet. The battery life, smarter AI features, and refined camera system make it an absolute joy to use.
If you’re thinking of upgrading, this is the phone to get. It’s fast, reliable, and packed with features that actually improve your day-to-day experience.
Would I recommend it? 100%.
