Well it looks like the new update is here.

Please note it should be coming to the others (Watch 5 and 4) in the coming weeks. Just be patient and it will come!

Plenty of new features in this update. Lots of things to look forward to. I'll post more tips and tricks as I play around with them.

Hi @mbckl, what Galaxy Watch 6 have you got specifically? Is it the 40mm, 44mm, the "ordinary" version (i.e. without the rotating bezel) or the "classic"?

And do you have a bluetooth only version or the one with Bluetooth and LTE?

Reason for asking is I have a Watch 6 44mm, LTE version ,"ordinary" version (i.e. not "Classic) and as of today, i.e. 27 Nov, still stuck on March 2024 version of Watch software :(

Actually I've answered my own question. Just noticed in your screenshot that release number for Watch UI 6 starts with "R960", which is the "Classic" version.

Samsung are terrible in treating their customers as second class based on :
(a) where they live...South Korea and USA first and
(b) what hardware they have...latest and greatest first, the rest as you go down the food chain can have to wait soooo looooong 👎

Yes and no. I mean it makes sense for them to update based on the release date of each devices. They only have so many workers and time to spend. Ofc in a utopia I'd also love for everything to be updated on the same day.

Not to mention bugs And issues with updates, so releasing things in stages isn't a bad idea as it allows any issues to come up, but limiting the damage. If there was an issue with this update, at least it affects the watch 6 classics, and not the rest.

It'll come soon 👍

Valid reasons maybe, but arrogance just like Nokia and Blackberry of the past can be the death knell of a phone company. There are plenty of other manufacturers other than Apple and Samsung.

Oh 100% with Nokia. I do miss the funky looking phones (lipstick phone)!
Blackberry relied too much on its messaging. Too bad whatsapp/signal,etc made it moot.

But yes, we should ask for more as consumers. At least Samsung is giving their AI to older phones, while Apple only gave it to the 15 (well select 15, not all 🫠)
