Currently, the samsung keyboard set as english(uk), will hv the currency symbol set as pound £. As lang is dependent on the country education setup not tied to country, like commonwealth counties are default english(uk) and thus, samsung shld considering allowing user to set the default currency from £ to other symbol.

Yes I agree with your suggestion. Cos for Singapore, we use $ symbol a lot and I keep clicking the wrong symbol for convenience. And now, I will need to perform an extra step for typing the $ symbol.

Previously it is $ by default. Not sure why it had change to £.

I remember it's changed in One UI 4.1. Previously, One UI 4.0 doesn't have this issue.

Thx, it is a workaround since no english(sg). But it will be still good that samsung could allow customising the currency. Dont knw if one day english(au) maybe gone too. Lucky aus is also commonwealth else there will be spelling issue with s n z.

Ya, hope that aust will not disappear. It's the closest to us in terms of dollar sign and spelling. Next set will be India if i did not remember wrongly.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe I will start switching English (AUS) for the convenience of typing $, since I use it frequently.
