Hi Guys,

Just like to ask if it's safe now to update to android 13 for Note 20 Ultra? Any feedback from anyone of you if there's any problem?

Would really appreciate your feedback.

Thanks..

Good for you. You'd gone into a Samsung Authorized Service Center that's fare, and got the repair/replacement job without any string attached. I see they have some "independence" to deal with us Samsung phone users. I understand that there's no uniformity in prices, therefore their dealing procedures. We have 2 ASCs in our City. I should have visited/checked the other one. I got lazy 😄.

Anyway, I'm trading-in my N20-U. Decided time to upgrade, as I had scheduled to be this year.

Watch out, Samsung Members Support doesn't guide us properly, daming paikut-ikut. Meron pa third party Call Center Agents who's got SOA only (Standard Operating Answer), galing mag-blahblahblah.

Re your query, topic of the post, here is my 2 cents:

Hanggang theory lang tayo. Samsung had been silent re the appearance of green-pink-white vertical lines on S20 Series and Note20-Ultra phones. They kept their study, science, and answer to themselves, to avoid culpability.

Clearly, they hope we'd fold up and accept the repair cost, or trade the phones in. Be realistic: Crooked businessmen are aplenty.

Take risk and do the software update. The lines may come or not, nobody knows 💯%. SAMSUNG CARES? YES! @ a cost, annual due.

Hello RyLalwani,

I really understand why you are worried about downloading the latest software updates on your well-loved Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, a concern that some users have tied to and has something to do with isolated cases of problems after a perceived software update. While the effect of each issue may vary from device to device, depending on the models, it may have something to do with the wear and tear conditions of the device due to aging, moisture exposure, accidental drops, miscarriage, pressing while asleep, third-party apps, etc., not to mention the limitations of built-in hardware.

But you will be surprised to know that software updates may not be limited to the enhancement, features, stability, and improved features of eligible devices.

Software updates are like oil changes and tune-ups for your phone or tablet, as they keep things running smoothly. They also help improve the user interface, enhance security, and remove minor bugs. We recommend updating the software whenever a new version is available so you can make sure your device stays in tip-top shape.

Samsung periodically releases software updates. Software updates bring new features and more security to your device. Samsung recommends keeping your device software up to date and back up any important data before updating the software.
