Samsung S20 Plus not on 5G network

Hi! I am new to this Samsung Community, and I just want to ask;

I have my S20 Plus for atleast 3yrs now. I had it pre-ordered here in the Philippines. I didn't know that Samsung will release a 5G version after the Pre-order period and I am now stuck with my phone without a 5G network.

Question: is there any way my S20 Plus can be upgraded to have a 5G network? Is there anything that supports that? Because it feels sad to see lower versions of phones have 5G networks, and not mine. 

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Ben18, thank you for reaching your concern. Kindly check if you already update yung system, if not kindly follow this steps.

Update software - Samsung Galaxy S20 plus to 5G

Select Settings.

Scroll to and select Software update.

Select Download and install.

Wait for the search to finish.

If your phone is up to date, you will see the following screen.

Hi, sir. Thanks for the reply. My software is currently up to date, but still is not capable of a 5G Network.

Could there be any other way, maybe for Samsung if I went there to unlock this feature for me?

5g network vary from your network subscriptions and area where you in.

May I ask if you also pre-ordered a non-5G S20 plus or Ultra, sir?

You are right bro.same problem with me.i'm using S20 plus in Malaysia.where everyone S20 plus using 5g but my one not😭 even software last version up to date

I think you pre-ordered the non-5G S20 Plus. So, it can't have a 5G network because it's not capable of having a 5G network.

Hi, sir. Yes, as indicated on my post, it was after I have pre-ordered the phone in which Samsung released a 5G variant in the Philippines.

So I am hoping if there would be anything I could do to unlock this feature in my phone

Unfortunately, If your device is S20Plus it only provides 4G connections. S20 Plus is different variant.
