I thought it's just the wonderland but no, i think it's the OneUI 7 itself. Sometimes, when the phone's screen has been off for a while, i literally have to press the side key for the second time just to actually wake up the phone. Tapping the off screen to show AOD is still the same i think. I don't want to wake up the phone by double tapping because sometimes i pin apps and i don't want to accidentally edit them just because i tapped the screen twice. I think this is due to the fact that we no longer have to keep pressing the side key to talk to Gemini or Bixby so it's kinda guessing if i wanna talk to the assistants or turn the screen on.
Sometimes, i also have to call out Bixby twice for it to come up. Did you know that in the Apple side, when you just called Siri and didn't say anything right away, it will ask you what's up in a natural human-like tone? It's also the same when you launch Microsoft CoPilot. How come in Samsung, instead of improving that functionality in Bixby, they just removed it? Perhaps it's not a big deal for them.
The screenshot is slower now - i pressed the buttons, nothing happened then i pressed it again, still nothing - it takes me 3 or more attempts (sometimes) just to get the screenshot.
And then this pop-up that I've never ever have seen before on any of my previous Samsung devices (all galaxy S, S edge, note Ultra and S ultras). This is really the first time, the first day I've seen such
I've cleared OneUI home cache and restarted the device. Perhaps the new UI is power hungry. I've never had this even when I've set my device to throttle CPU when temperature becomes high. Or maybe the weather's just hotter these days? I just can't feel my phone being hotter than before - on the contrary, i feel it's cooler most of the time and it's comfortable to hold. I just had to disable location access as an addition to my temperature mitigations. If this happens again, I'm planning to go back to standard performance profile which i haven't done so in quite a long time even with older phones.
