There's an issue with Samsung pay. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't it's not as accurate as it was before.

It's instant for me. Faster than when I was on Pie.

I know it's old, bit have you cleared the cache of both SPay and the system? It shouldn't be needed, but it will sometimes fix things.

Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.
