Samsung Smart Switch

Just had update to smart switch.
Use it to sync my Outlook 2016 calendar on computer (Win 10, 64 bit) to my S20FE via USB cable.
Working perfectly until update. Have been syncing various samsung phones for years.
Now will not SYNC since update. Has a very different Smart Switch screen also.
Either it says there is a problem in Outlook or it shuts down.
Have deleted from phone and computer and reloaded, same problem. 
Very suspicious of this smart switch update.

I had been persistently complaining to Smart Switch Team, and this is their reply:

 

Hello, this is SmartSwitch team.

We are sorry for late response.

We modified outlook logics.

Could you check your issue with this version?

When logs are shared again, we will check it again.

This is how to collect SmartSwitch PC logs.

1) Close SmartSwitch PC which is already run

2) Run the tool of this link : https://sspc.sec-smartswitch.com/smartswitchpc/file/SmartSwitchPC_SupportToolForQA.exe

3) SmartSwitch PC is run automatically, try your issue with SmartSwitch PC

4) When it is reproduced, please "Stop" button on the tool.

5) A popup of file save is shown, when trying to save, a zip file is created.

6) Please send us the zip file created from 5).

Maybe all of you can try this and put your results on this forum for the help of everyone else.  Thanks!

Struggled for a whole day.  Samsung local tech support useless.  So is Samsung Korea support switch.cs@samsung.com team.  Absolute no response from them.

One workaround is to download OLDER VERSION of Smart Switch. 

Uninstall the current version, and device drivers from your control panel. 

Restart the laptop, and install the older version.  It works as usual.  It will ask if you want to UPDATE, and Just Decline.

When Samsung brings up another update, we can try, but keep the older version download file intact, just in case.

Still no response from Samsung Support. Per above from Siyer, here is a link for previous versions of Smart Switch. Norton Check says link is safe and scanned previous SS version prior to installing with Norton and was OK.  After install of previous version prior to update, works for syncing windows 10 with Outlook 2016 and Calender on S22 Ultra. https://www.filehorse.com/download-samsung-smart-switch/old-versions/

you are a life saver!!!  thanks so much.  I accidentally downloaded something else first but got there in the end and uninstalled the first mistake.  so many popups on that site.  thanks again. N

Me too. Worked until I did the latest S22 Ultra software update (security patch 1 May 2022). PC Smart switch 4.3.22044_1 Phone smart switch version version 3.7.29.1.

Clever security patch has locked out smart sync :(

yep same here.  very frustrating.  reworked my calendar on pc and phones but it still the same.  worked ONCE.  Hurry up samsung!!

G'day all, just a progress report. I had an hour and a half with an expert Samsung tech later yesterday including the phone and computer logs extracted. They have gone to the Samsung Members techxperts for analysis and hopeful them finding the bug. I made him aware of the group on this thread - and as we know there's probably many out there who haven't reported it yet.
