Hi, Samsung Members! I hope some of you still remember me from last year. I uploaded my first application journey here and shared some interactions with Samsung while exploring my college journey. 🌟
I said I would keep writing articles to tell my story if I became a part of this program, and now here it is. ✍️
Volunteering Photos
A lot has happened in my college journey since last year. I joined different groups and used my skills to contribute. As a freshman, it was challenging to prove myself because it felt like I was starting over from scratch compared to my senior high school days, where many people knew my capabilities. Now, I'm happy that people recognize my potential, which all started when I submitted and uploaded my first application in Galaxy Campus online. They saw my eagerness and determination, which led me to participate in five volunteering experiences for significant college events and got accepted in six organizations. I'm confident I did my best in each of those, helping to showcase my talents and raise awareness for youth innovation. I even had the chance to speak publicly to hundreds of students, which was nerve-wracking but made me very proud.
I decided to apply again for the program's second batch, not expecting to be accepted due to the numerous video submissions. I felt the pressure like last year but decided to give it a shot.
When shooting my first video for my second application, I filmed in front of Samsung's Headquarters in McKinley to show my enthusiasm. However, on my way home, my phone was snatched at night, causing me to cry and develop a fear of traveling home after dark. I lost all my senior high school memories stored on the phone, as I didn't have a backup. I felt at my lowest, knowing I had academic responsibilities to juggle.

I considered not joining the program because of what happened, but something in my heart pushed me to keep trying, hoping to be chosen. I took my second shot at the application with my friend's help in BGC. We got caught in the rain while shooting, and I deeply appreciated my friend's assistance. I edited the video, including an introduction and an overview of my accomplishments, and finally submitted it.

After that, a lot happened. I received an email for the interviews, and the rest is history.
I didn't expect to be accepted, given the high number of applicants and the impressive talent from the first batch.
Despite the challenges, I kept smiling and gave my best effort. There were many times I felt like giving up because college life was so different from high school, but I found my purpose and aspirations: my family, friends, and advocacies.

The 100 Galaxy Campus Ambassadors
I eventually met the 99 ambassadors at the kick-off event and had an incredible experience. I never imagined attending such an event in a high-rise building in BGC. My experience on the 58th floor was amazing, with breathtaking views. The event was wonderful, with great speakers, food, people, and everything. As someone who organizes events with limited budgets, I understand the challenge of making them meaningful, but we managed it through strategic planning and resourcefulness.

After the event, I had a lot of work to do, especially with event planning meetings and schoolwork. However, I still managed to attend Galaxy Unpacked, where I finally met the Samsung Member Stars (hope you will send our pictures in the comment) and learned a lot about new Galaxy devices and ecosystems.

The Galaxy AI Festival was one of the highlights of being an ambassador. I never imagined having the chance to handle flagship devices, going from my Galaxy Y to Mid-Range and then from a Budget phone to a Flagship is mind-blowing.
Watching them since pinoy big brother days and finally watching them live.
I finally had the chance to meet Bini, though I couldn't take photos with them. I explored the pop-up stores and experiential zones, completed the stamps, and enjoyed the rest of the day.
There was more laughter than at the kick-off, and it felt like we created a community within Galaxy Campus. Even though we're from different places, we had the chance to meet each other and share our personalities, skills, and stories.

Last year, I was sad when I didn't get accepted, but there was a reason for that, I needed to find myself and understand who I am to achieve greater things. All of this has become more wonderful with Samsung.
I can't express my gratitude enough to the people who believed in and helped me become part of this program despite challenges. I hope to stay active here in the members' app when I have time after handling organizational tasks.

I also want to share that people have started asking to take photos with me, even though I don't think I have the face of a celebrity, haha. I'm just a dreamer boy roaming in BGC, and now I'm part of Team Galaxy.

This is truly one of the highlights of my life, and I'll proudly share it when meeting new people. The learning experiences and memories I've gained will be treasured, no matter what path I take in the future.
