I agree completely. Download Google messages it is by far better and has more features plus RCS is being released to everyone by the end of this year for people who use Google messages which is basically every phone maker except Samsung. I'm hoping Samsung decides to make the switch to Google's app to have RCS all across the board
Unfortunately there's a bug in the most recent beta releases for Google Messages where short phone numbers no longer show up with the contact names so I had to switch back to Samsung Messages. The bug has been reported by dozens of people but Google has no fix for anyone who is affected.
